and, world-wide, we have an uncompromising
determination to achieve excellence in everything we
do,” added Mr Evans. “ We are now offering substantial
opportunities for new Puma Retail Partners to run and
grow a profitable business here in Australia, through
Puma Energy’s tailored retail strategy and support.
“ We have various multi-site clusters available right
now in Queensland and in New South Wales. To
ensure we have the right fit for a long-term successful
partnership, we are committed to a thorough
information-sharing and selection process that
will give great comfort to any new Retail Partner.
“ We are looking for success orientated, hands-on
leaders to join with us on this growth journey. Low
entry costs are a key component of our offer, with
no goodwill costs which means no sunk capital,” said
Mr Evans. “ T he equipment needed to run the sites is
included and tenure of up to 5 years is available.”
Puma energy gives an estimate of the capital required:
$50,000 Bank Guarantee per site; and
$70,000 (approximately) for stock
at value (SAV) per site.
Puma says that all of the available sites are
presented to current industry standards, and
will be re-branded to the Puma brand over the
coming 6 to 24 months, with cold-rooms and
Point of Sale systems included at no extra cost.
Better still, Puma Energy retains ownership of the
fuel which means no additional capital outlay.
Mr Evans added: “ We offer our Retail Partners
comprehensive training, and everyday practical
advice on Health, Safety, Environment and
Quality (HSEQ) because we believe that
a good business is a safe business.
Puma’s policy statements say that it has a strong
commitment to the safety of its people, customers
and environment that is wholehearted
and fundamental. This ensures that
the company delivers its products
and services safely and responsibly,
often in challenging and remote
environments. To maintain these
standards, Puma undergoes, and
conducts, regular internal and external
compliance audits. The company
says that its approach to safety,
sustainability and environmental
responsibility is informative,
consultative and communicative.
“ We also have a comprehensive
merchandising and category
management support structure,
complete with excellent group
buying arrangements and an
excellent monthly promotional
program,” said Mr Evans.
“ T he thought of running a group of
your own service stations may initially
be daunting, but the reassuring thing
is that you are not alone. The Puma
Energy retail team has operated these
sites for years under their previous
brands, so we know the business
you’re entering and we are passionate
about sharing that knowledge.
Selecting the right Business Partners
is key to us expanding the Puma
retail chain as well as the growing the Puma brand.
“ Before you start, you will receive training both
on and off site. If, like us, you believe that there is
always more to learn, you can opt to enrol in further
training programs in areas like merchandising,
human resources and customer service.
“ Local differences are important, so you will be
assigned a dedicated local Area Manager, who will
be your single point of contact, and whose focus
is on working with you to overcome any issues and
to develop opportunities unique to your area. We
also have a specialist merchandising team to help
you to grow store sales volumes and profits.
“ We design our national marketing activity to drive
brand preference and differentiate Puma from the
pack. You can follow with pride as the brand that you
are an important part of rolls out across the country.
“ Behind the scenes, our retail fuel pricing team work
to ensure our market position is maintained. Our
insights specialists will keep you informed with reports
on fuel and convenience industry trends to help you
discover new growth opportunities,” said Mr Evans.
“ Perhaps the most essential aspect to the
smooth operation of your franchise is fuel
supply you can rely on. Through Directhaul, our
cartage and logistics division, we ensure that
we deliver the fuel you need without fail.”

orientated, hands‐on leaders to join
with us on this growth journey....
